			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Life is like riding a surf board. You can either fall into the ocean or you can ride the wave all the way to the shore. Some waves crash with a roar while others simply fade back into the ocean. So what are you going to do?</p>
<p>It’s time to get back in tune with the universe. Humans are like that one wrong note bringing the universal harmony out of whack. It wasn’t always this way, somewhere along the line we walked out of the jungle and there was a great shift from animal to human. We learned to communicate. We became civilized. We made our villages, cities and countries. We socialized with other humans and became dependant on them to help us meet our needs. At such time we became human leaving many of our animalistic instincts behind.</p>
<p>There are a few stories about this out there. The analogy in the Bible is when Adam and Eve bit into the apple. Science calls it evolution, saying that our brains evolved into what it is today and is based on our needs for survival and self-fulfillment. Modern life has its own example, when a child grows they break out of tune with the universe into the materialistic world of adulthood. They are taught how to act in the world in order to survive and be accepted by others. The problem is that this is totally against the grain.</p>

<p>Some try to find that universal harmony. In Buddhism it’s called Nirvana. Lao Tzu called it Tao or “The Way”. Others call it inner peace, tranquility, happiness. Jesus talked about looking upon heaven with the awe of a child. There are many ways to achieve this; prayer and meditation are two of the most common. Some believe that universal harmony can be achieved through drug use, which goes all the way back to the Shamans use of hallucinogenic plants and mushrooms. There are many different reasons for drug use today. Universal harmony is not one of them. Drugs bring you about as far away from that goal as is possible.</p>
<p>Those who are able to ride the wave find things falling into place. Those who can’t find their lives in utter chaos. The sad thing is that it is almost always a choice. Although for some, life comes at them too fast. Obstacles are placed in their way. There is always a way around it though, isn’t there? Obstacles are simply what keeps us on our toes. We can choose to let it stop us, or we can find a way around it. No matter how many rocks or dams are in a river, the water always makes it’s way to the lake or sea, now doesn’t it?</p>

Heart monitors can be especially costly, more so if you are intent on purchasing higher-end models. You can of course purchase one of the lower-end models but low quality heart monitors can lead to inaccurate results and that sort of defeats the purpose of buying one.</p>

Yoga and Meditation techniques have been adopted by new age spirituality. Many methods are taught in retreats. The idea is to be around like minded people, which will aid the renewal of the spirit, body and mind.</p>
<p>The benefits of &#8220;meditation&#8221; are not short of amazing. Yoga ensures this beneficial health and spiritual care. Meditative benefit&#8217;s offer insurance and treatment to those wishing to heal without medication or direct touch being the cure. Buddhism religion is focused around meditation, and their long lives just goes to show how beneficial meditations and yoga&#8217;s can be.</p>
<p>When I first became interested in meditation, I had no idea where to start. I felt lost. I needed some form of spiritual guidance, however, I was not prepared to pay out hundreds of dollars in the hopes of finding what I was looking for. I didn&#8217;t know the difference between New Age techniques and Buddhist zen yoga. What I was looking for was a means of escape from the stresses of my hectic life into deep relaxation. Luckily, I found a great place to get hold of free meditation audios, which of course suited my purposes.</p>

<p>I found that starting out with a free audios made it easy to get straight into deep meditation. The audio acts on our brain frequencies. Our consciousness shifts in to alpha, which gives us deep, deep, pleasure.</p>
<p>We experience almost instant relaxation and the lovely emotions of joy, bliss and love.</p>

<p>Before obstetricians and gynecologists decide which dose of which drug can best treat a condition without putting any harmful side effects on the mother and the baby, they consider the patients age, general health, the number of months before delivery, tolerance for medications, and any other drugs the pregnant patient may be taking.</p>
<p>Prescribing exercise on pregnant women has to be just as scientific and precise. The type, intensity, frequency, and duration of a dose of exercise are all critical. One persons healthy, vigorous workout could be hazardous to another. These dangers may be greater in pregnant women because they are more likely to have strains and other serious side effects for the would-be mother.</p>

<p>However, if exercise will be implemented and carried out in a normal, average range, exercise will not have an effect on the overall condition of the pregnancy and especially on labor or delivery.</p>
<p>Pregnancy</p>
<p>Quality prenatal care should be given to a mother during her pregnancy. She should be prepared for the normal delivery of a healthy baby. Complications should be prevented at all costs. </p>
<p>All of these things are boiled down to the fact that a pregnant woman should be cared in such a way that she will not be compelled to do vigorous work but should not also stay in bed and be inactive until she gives birth to her baby.</p>
<p>Consequently, a pregnant womans condition varies in relation to the growth and development of the baby in side her womb. Therefore, it is necessary that proper health guidance be provided by her physician during her visit.</p>
<p>Moreover, it is important to keep the pregnant womans life active in order to promote good health, not only for her but also for the baby most importantly.</p>
<p>Physical conditions like blood pressure, weight and health status is usually monitored during the pregnant womans visit to her doctor. For this reason, it is significant to note that exercise can be the number one factor in order to keep these aspects in good condition.</p>
<p>As the health experts contend, adequate physical and emotional information is needed by a pregnant woman to prepare herself for delivery. She needs practical health messages in keeping herself and the baby healthy.</p>
<p>Hence, for mothers or would-be mothers who are not yet aware why they should exert some effort in engaging into moderate, normal exercise, here is a list of some of its benefits so that you will be able to understand the reason why pregnant women have to exercise regularly:</p>
<p>1. Defiance against fatigue</p>
<p>As muscle becomes fatigued, it produces less force. To accomplish a task like climbing the stairs, for example, or shoveling snow, more units of muscle must be called into play to back up the wearied muscles. </p>
<p>The tired muscles are both less efficient and less effective. Hence, this will just put more strain on the pregnant woman because of the weight that is continuously adding up each day. That is why tired muscles will usually result to leg cramps or sore muscles.</p>
<p>What every pregnant woman must know is that exercise improves the condition of the muscles and their ability to work longer without fatigue.</p>
<p>2. Reduce backaches</p>
<p>Even when you sit or stand, some muscles are working, and such relatively easy postures can tax some muscles and cause fatigue. The muscles of the lower back, for example, can be exhausted and worn out by the effort of keeping erect when a pregnant woman stand still for several hours.</p>
<p>With exercise, a pregnant woman can correct this error by developing her posture.</p>
<p>3. Increase the amount of oxygen</p>
<p>Work and exercise rely on glycogen, a substance produced by the body from complex carbohydrates and stored muscles and liver. The supply of glycogen in the muscles determines and limits the duration of activity. Exercise depletes the glycogen in the muscles and leads to tiredness. </p>
<p>However, when glycogen is depleted by strenuous activity, it is replaced in quantities greater than before, as if the body recognized the need to lay in a larger supply of fuel.</p>
<p>Hence, oxidation is essential for converting glycogen to the energy that pregnant women need to wiggle a finger, flex a muscle, or practice the lungs and heart for some blowing action during normal delivery.</p>
<p>These are just some of the many benefits exercise can bring to pregnant women. Besides, nothing is completely wrong for a pregnant woman doing some moderate exercises. The only important thing to remember is that before starting an exercise program, whether pregnant or not, it is best to consult your doctor. As they say, doctors know best!</p>

You have heard so much about Yoga; it seems that Yoga is a “cure” for almost anything. The more you hear, the more confusing it is to understand what Yoga is all about.</p>
<p>Should you go out and buy a Yoga book? What would be the best Yoga book to buy? If you visit the local book store, you see hundreds of Yoga books, CD’s, DVD’s, card decks, and kits. Should you buy a copy of the Yoga Sutras by Patanjali or buy one of the “for dummies” Yoga books?</p>
<p>Below is an overview of Yoga, which may help you decide your path of Yogic study. There is no right or wrong path of Yoga study, but be selective when you choose a Yoga teacher, Yoga book, or Yoga class..</p>
<p><span id="more-3"></span></p>
<p>You should first realize that there are many styles of Yoga. There are nine major styles of Yoga; many more styles exist, as well as many sub-styles. The nine major styles of Yoga are Bhakti, Hatha, Jnana, Karma, Kundalini, Mantra, Raja, Tantra, and Yantra Yoga. Each style emphasizes unity of body, mind, and spirit.</p>
<p>The literal meaning of Yoga is “union” or “unity.” If we can unify the body, mind, and spirit in harmony, we can achieve tranquility. One of the main purposes of Yoga is tranquility through improved health due to a holistic approach to life.</p>
<p>India is the birth place of Yoga. There are many written works about Yoga, but the origin of Yoga dates back thousands of years. Yoga is the “mother” of most of the world’s health maintenance systems. Asian martial arts, with an origin from the Shaolin temple, and Pilates, can trace their ancestry back to Yoga.</p>
<p>The “higher forms of Yoga” are said to be Bhakti, Jnana, Karma, and Raja Yoga. Each of these four styles is a complex subject, within themselves, and I cannot do them justice by a summarization.</p>
<p>Hatha Yoga sub-styles are the most prolific outside of India. Most new Yoga practitioners will learn a Hatha Yoga sub-style first. Hatha Yoga, and its many sub-styles, primarily emphasize physical health, which will likely result in improved mental health. Most Hatha Yoga classes, outside of India, do not approach spiritual health.</p>
<p>Nevertheless, Hatha Yoga is seen by fundamentalists as an “export of Hinduism.” In some rare instances, this may be true, but most Hatha Yoga teachers are content to teach improved health for body and mind.</p>
<p>Therefore, when you choose a book, or local Yoga teacher, be aware that the Yoga teacher or Guru is a guide &#8211; but you have a right to know which direction you are being guided to. The Yoga practitioner learns to expand his or her mind and make independent decisions “along the way.”</p>
<p>Yoga is non-threatening to religion. If a Yoga instructor teaches intolerance, of any kind, that is not Yoga. Unity is not sectarianism. We have to learn to appreciate diversity, and we should never tolerate prejudice. Prejudice and intolerance are often the cause of crime and wars.</p>
